BRUSH YOUR PUPS!

 

Are you struggling with keeping your dog mat/tangle free?

 

Here are a few suggestions that may help:

 

Regular brushing! Being sure to get down to the skin and not just skimming the surface of your pup! If you have any questions on how to brush your dog or would like more info on the proper tools to use, let us know! We are more than happy to help!
 

Regular groom/bath appointments! Let us do the hard work for you! The best way to keep your pets in tip top shape is to keep them clean and undercoat-free!

 

Minimize the friction! Items that constantly rub against your dog (i.e. sweaters, harnesses, collars, etc.) will often cause matting.  If you like leaving sweaters on your dog, we suggest a shorter haircut for your dog.  We also suggest rolled leather dog collars for dogs that matt around the neck easily!
 

A great diet! Dogs with healthy skin and coats are more likely to keep mats at bay! Try a little bit of coconut oil or fish oil as a great additive to keep your doggie lookin' and feelin' good! *As always, please consult your vet, first!
